Legal Bank Robbery with Vinnie Ruebottom

Business owners and business hopefuls are invited to a free crash course on accessing capital on Wednesday, April 30th at the Ukiah Valley Conference Center. Beginning at 8:30 a.m., attendees will learn about securing a loan for working capital, purchasing inventory/equipment/commercial real estate, business expansion, and debt refinance.

Hosted by the Economic Development and Financing Corporation and West Company, this workshop is sponsored in part by local lenders. The workshop begins at 8:30 a.m. with a presentation by Wells Fargo Ukiah Manager, Vinnie Ruebottom, on “Financing Your Business.” This will be followed by a 45 minute discussion of the fine art of “Communicating with Bankers.”

Lender’s booths will be open from 11:15 to 1:45 so that you can talk with several commercial lenders about their loan products and the process for accessing capital. What better way to meet and begin relationships with lenders.

The afternoon will feature two panels, beginning with “A Lender's Perspective on Financing” from Savings Bank of Mendocino, SAFE-BIDCO, Redwood Credit Union, West America Bank and Mendo Lake Credit Union. The second panel switches sides, with “A Business Owner's Perspective on Financing.” Matthew Gilbert from Mendocino Wool and Fiber will speak about his crowd funding campaign, Cynthia Ariosta from Saucy will talk about her experiences securing funding from the Savings Bank and Ukiah's CDBG program, and Paula Manalo Gaska from Mendocino Organics will talk about obtaining a loan from Kiva.

Networking will close the day and provide a good opportunity to talk to fellow entrepreneurs and local lenders. Join us April 30 from 8:30- 5:00 pm at The Ukiah Valley Conference Center. For more information or to register go to www.westcompany.org or call 467-5913.
