Clocks went forward last Sunday — about time you were made aware of this.
“Evening Dining in the Valley” — by late May we should be back to eight Valley evening restaurants. Moves are finally happening in “downtown” Philo at the former Libby’s Mexican Restaurant. Members of the Lemons Family have been working day and night to get this space ready for their new tenants. I’m told that new owners are in place, but must remain an “open secret” for now. The new eatery is long anticipated. Stone and Embers partner/operator Matt Barnes has stepped away for health reasons. His hard work, knowledge, and passion for the restaurant business helped resurrect this spot after a number of initial hiccups. However, Chef Patrick is still on board to continue their fine tradition. For more info pick up the local AV Community Bulletin.

Topics and Valley events at The Three-Dot Lounge:
…The regulars at the Three-Dot offered the usual cross-section of reviews on last week’s Variety Show, ranging from “great fun” and “a wonderfully entertaining evening” to “he/she should stick to singing in the shower” and “you’d think they would have rehearsed first.” It is a good wholesome night out, particularly for families. And a positive experience either way.
…We missed the Variety Show entirely this year commenting that an “over-18” version of such an event is long past due. For the first time in many years, I also failed to make the show, and in a Valley relatively quiet on the quality adult entertainment scene, their remarks certainly have a ring of truth. However, now the talking has to stop, the walking must begin, and someone just has to organize it!
…By the way, by my current count, there are now 30 tasting rooms in the Valley.
