The Career Technical Education (CTE) of Mendocino County Office of Education (MCOE) will offer an Emergency Medical Responder class on the South Coast beginning October 7, 2014 through December 18, 2014. The class will be held at the Bill Platt Training Center, Coast Life Support Headquarters at 38901 Ocean Drive, Gualala CA 95445 This 60 hour training takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6:00-9:00pm, plus one all-day Saturday class to be announced by instructor. First Medical Responder is recognized by the State of California as the basic level of training needed by those charged with the initial response of medical emergencies. This is the first step in becoming a trained Emergency Medical Technician.
