September 20th has Ukiah Speedway track will be alive with several racing classes and special guests from Mendocino County Sheriff's Search and Rescue will be on hand to share information and sell tickets to their upcoming October 4th spaghetti feed fundraiser.
Search and Rescue (SAR) is an unpaid, all-volunteer, non-profit corporation that currently has members throughout Mendocino County, California. Their mission is summed up by their name; they perform SEARCH and RESCUE operations whenever and wherever they are called upon by the Mendocino County Sheriff's Office. SAR provides a pool of trained volunteers, equipment, and needed funds to conduct search operations.
SAR operations are involved in many areas such as: Horse Posse, Four-wheel Drive, ATV, Boat Patrol, Air Squadron, Underwater Search and Recovery, and Special Forces.
The gates will open at 3pm, and the action starts at 5pm.
The classes include Taco Bell Bombers, Gravitate Jammers, Pro-4, Midgets, Vintage Midgets, Coors Light Modifieds and Pro 4 Modifieds.
Racing Promoter David Furia states, “We are proud to be part of this community. The support of our sponsors, racers and fans has been amazing. We gladly support groups like Mendocino County Sheriff's Search and Rescue because they are a vital resource in the community that needs our help. We hope that race fans will join us Saturday and support SAR by purchasing a ticket to their spaghetti feed.”
