Agriculture 116 (Fall 2014): Sustainable Agricultural Systems
with Rain Tenaqiya, permaculture designer and author of West Coast Food Forestry
This course will cover the history, definitions, concepts, principles and practices of sustainable agricultural systems. The course will also examine case studies and expose the student to field-based learning through labs and field trips.

Topics will include: history of sustainable farming, ecology, patterns in the landscape, sustainable design, learning from existing systems, soil, water, air, energy, trees, animals, and integrated pest management.
