In 2008, 15-year-old Bryan Pearn won high honors at the California State Science Fair with a project that examined how widespread water thievery had damaged a creek near his house in Willits, California--and decimated local salmon and trout populations along the way.
He contacted every environmental agency he could think of--and his victory at the science fair won him an audience with congressman Mike Thompson. Still, nothing has changed. In this interview, Bryan Pearn talks about his project and why nothing has changed for Alder Creek.
