Goldeneye Winery, located in the beautiful Anderson Valley town of Philo, will host a gourmet winemaker dinner to benefit the Cancer Resource Centers of Mendocino County (CRCMC) on Saturday, June 14. Served outdoors under an evening sky, the event will pair the craftsmanship of Goldeneye Winemaker, Michael Fay, with the skills of Shannon Hughes, chef and owner of notable Point Arena Restaurants Pangaea (1994) and Lorca (2006).
After years of living in Southern Portugal, Los Angeles native Chef Shannon Hughes relocated to Mendocino County. For the past 29 years she has been “growing gardens and orchards, foraging wild edible food, cooking and nourishing and nurturing” in this community.
On June 14th the Winemaker Dinner opens casually with a reception at 5:30 p.m., followed by a scrumptious, multiple course meal, each course accompanied by one of Goldeneye’s notable Pinots.
Tickets for the dinner are $150 per person, with 100% of all proceeds going to fund local services of the Cancer Resource Centers of Mendocino County. Inland, valley and coastal residents of Mendocino County are invited to come together over an extraordinary meal on behalf of all community members who are faced with cancer.
