The War In The M.E. Widens

President Biden is expected to make a statement tonight after the US and UK conduct military strikes against the Iranian-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen. The strikes are expected shortly with a series of statements from the US, UK and other international allies to follow, the Times reports. Both the UK and the US warned there could be consequences if ships are continually targeted in the Red Sea. Joint US and British forces shot down 18 drones and three missiles launched by the Houthis late Tuesday, in what was described as their biggest attack so far in solidarity with Palestinians in Hamas-ruled Gaza. Antony Blinken warned of 'consequences' if the Houthi do not stop attacking ships in the Red Sea, and called on Iran to end their support for the rebels.

Update:

Airstrikes have begun on multiple targets inside Yemen as US and UK military forces unleash missiles from planes, destroyers and submarines on the Houthi. The attacks come in response to weeks of Houthi led bombings on ships in the Red Sea - amid the conflict between Israel and Gaza. US officials had warned there would be 'consequences' for the Houthi's attack on non-military ships. That answer came Thursday night when explosions were reported in Sana'a, Hodeidah governorate, Saada, and Dhamar, Houthi officials confirmed. US and British authorities are said to be targeting multiple locations using fighter jets and navy destroyers. Submarines and tomahawk cruise missiles were also being used by US and UK military.

“So, let me get this straight. We’re dropping bombs all over the Middle East, AGAIN (where I defeated ISIS!), and our Secretary of Defence, who just went missing for five days, is running the war from his laptop in a hospital room. Remember, this is the same gang that “surrendered” in Afghanistan, where no one was held accountable or FIRED. It was the most embarrassing “moment” in the history of the United States. Now we have wars in Ukraine, Israel, and Yemen, but no “war” on our Southern Border. Oh, that makes a lot of sense. Crooked Joe Biden is the worst President in the history of the United States!”

“Iran-backed Houthi rebels” is a term that apparently must be used by all news outlets.
The US is attacking an already destitute population to protect the property of the 1% as it is paraded along their coastline.
Something stinks about the whole operation.
