Bruce Anderson is editor and publisher of this newspaper, the Anderson Valley Advertiser (the AVA) in Boonville. Despite his protests about being interviewed for his own paper, he finally agreed to be part of this series.
A community meeting will be held Wednesday, October 22nd, 5:30pm, at the Philo Grange to discuss recent events at the Anderson Valley Health Center.
Clay Eubank has been in Anderson Valley since 2010. His partner Sarah Farber is the Captain of the Yorkville Station. It was through their involvement with firefighting that they met at the National Fire Academy. His firefighting career started in 1991 in Capay Valley west of Woodland near Davis where he retired as chief in 2010.
COMMUNITY ANGER over recent developments at the Anderson Valley Health Center has all of Anderson Valley in an uproar.

Great Uncle John used to tote his gallon jug to Newgard's Store in Albion once a month to refill it with whiskey. In local election…
“Nicole Wright?” Not a soul in the crowded courtroom stirred when her name was called. She was just another anonymous fish in drab green jailhouse…
It has come to my attention that the AV Health Center Board is having discussions with Dr. Mark Apfel. As these are in secret we can only surmise the nature of the discussions. Nevertheless many in this community hope that the Board won't bungle these discussions leading to more confusion and ill feeling and make every effort smooth out this bumpy episode.
THE WEASELS of the Demo Central Committee are pulling out all the stops to vilify Lindy Peters. As they do everywhere in the County, from school boards to supervisor, the conservative libs try to make all our elected bodies into self-selected, self-perpetuating jobs programs for themselves and their friends. An independent-minded candidate terrifies them.
More than 275 people attended the afternoon of music, dance and shout outs to past and present KZYX staff, board members and volunteers.
