Skip was born on May 15, 1945 in Fort Bragg to Robin and Dorothy Bloyd. He had two brothers, David ‘Deed’ Bloyd and a younger brother, Mickey Bloyd.

Skip lived most of his life in Navarro and worked in the woods as a timber faller.

Skip is survived by his brother Deed, wife Carol, sons Kevin and Kenneth, daughter Lisa, daughters-in-law Barbara and Teresa, and son-in-law Billy McKinzie. Skip is also survived by a dozen grandkids: Kenneth and Wayne Bloyd Jr.; Taylor AnnMarie Bloyd; Nadia K. Bloyd; Elena Bloyd; Robin Oscar Bloyd; Ashley Bloyd; Chelsey Bloyd; Monte Olsen Bloyd; Kevin James Bloyd; Bensiman Darrel McKinzie; Duston Michael McKinzie; and Summer Ann McKinzie.

Skip’s intelligence, Yankee ingenuity, creativity, imagination, and sense of humor made him one of the most unique characters God ever created. He was one of a kind. We will miss him very much.
