#541. Important! The Care-a-Van, sponsored by the AV Animal Rescue, will be at The AV Grange today, March 7, from 10am-2pm to help with care for your dogs and cats. Vaccinations, heartworm tests, micro-chipping, etc. Spay and neuter ops are fully booked so make an appointment in Ukiah at 888-7698.
#542. The Vets from the Mendo Animal Hospital are here tomorrow, Thursday, March 8, and on Thursday, March 29 at the AV Farm Supply 2-4pm. Call 462-8833 and the vets will bring your pet’s charts.
#543. The always-fun General Knowledge and Trivia Quiz held at Lauren’s Restaurant continues at 7pm on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of every month: Thursday, March 8th.
#544. The AV Museum has reopened, 1-4pm on Saturdays and Sundays in The Little Red Schoolhouse next to the Elementary School on AV Way.
#545. The Unity Club AV Lending Library reopens Saturday, March 10 at the Fairgrounds: Tuesday 1.30-4.30pm and Saturday 2-4pm.
#546. The monthly Barn Sale is this weekend, Saturday/Sunday, March 10/11 at The Big Barn, AV Way, Boonville, next to St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church Refectory. 9am-3pm each day. Bargains galore!
#547. The AV Grange second Sunday Pancake Breakfast is March 11, 8.30-11am. $5-10. kids through hungry folks.
#548. The monthly AV Village meets at Lauren’s Restaurant at 4pm on Sunday, March 11 to discuss issues facing us all in our later years.
Here is the menu for the lunches and dinners at the Senior Center at the Veterans’ Building in Boonville. $6 donation from seniors for both lunches and dinners and $7 for Non-seniors for lunches and $8 for the dinners. Tomorrow, Thursday, March 8, the lunch, served by Marti Titus and her crew at Noon, will be Potatoes and Kielbasa Skillet followed by Cherry Dump Cake. Next Tuesday, March 13, the evening meal at 6pm, features Corned Beef and Cabbage with Cherry Crisp for dessert. The 13th is the 2nd Tuesday Bingo follows at 7pm. Include vegetables, salad bar, and fruit, plus milk, coffee, tea, and lemonade.
