I love Mr. Weddle’s comment on “the final stages of Unnatural selection”.
It’s a good thing that Benito Mussolini is dead. He’d have easily won the Republican Convention. Given the field of Democrats, he might have won the Democratic nomination.
I find myself wishing for an androidocracy like the one described by Richard Brautigan:
I like to think
(it has to be!)
of a cybernetic ecology
where we are free of our labors
and joined back to nature,
returned to our mammal
brothers and sisters,
and all watched over
by machines of loving grace.
However, a friend has cautioned that the “machines of loving grace” are more likely to turn into HAL.

You need a sense of humor in watching this parade of clowns. This election is going to be full of laughs.
