Sixth Annual Ukiah Valley Artists Studio Tour September 27th & 28th. If you have never been to the Ukiah Artists Studio Tour now is a good time to make plans for this free event!
Mark your calendar for the last weekend in September, the 27 th and 28th. This will be the sixth year that the Ukiah Valley Artists Coop has sponsored this free event. The hours are 10-5 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday.
It’s neat opportunity to see the artist in his home setting and where the making of the artwork takes place. Some artists will be doing demonstrations. All will welcome you to their home studio. People who have been to this event before look forward to the “Studio Specials” that many of the artists have for the Tour..
There will be original watercolors, oils, pastels, acrylics, ceramics and photos. Some of the participants will also have original unframed work and matted prints that are ready-to-frame, complete with with backups. Because they are not limited to gallery wall space, the artists can spread out more of their work for viewing, so there are lots more to see and choose from. Original cards and notepaper can also be found at some sites. Some sites are naturally grouped as is the Rogina Heights.
This year there will be 22 artists who have been juried into the Tour. The locations of the participating painters cover n town, Redwood Valley, etc. so it is best to plan your route each of the two-day event.
There is no charge. Just get your map at the Grace Hudson Museum or at the UVAC gallery at the Pear Tree Center (next to Rod's Shoes) and plan your route for a fun day or two.
