42nd Annual Chestnut Gathering at the Zeni Ranch will be Saturday, November 1st from 10 am to 4 pm.

Back east, now in Philadelphia since leaving Philo in 1975, we have an old “Chinese Chestnut” tree that is not affected by the chestnut blight. Lots of chestnuts this year, other nuts as well. I am curious if these are similar to the Anderson Valley trees.
