Several regulars at the 3-Dot and myself wish to pass on our congratulations to owner Tom Towey on the Fourth Anniversary of his Buckhorn restaurant and pub in the heart of Boonville. Recalling those months in late 2010 and early 2011, I remember well Tom’s perseverance as he fought through the ridiculous red tape and mind-boggling bureaucracy that Mendocino County provides as obstacles for anyone who is planning to open a pub/restaurant.

There had been reports of UFO sightings over Anderson Valley for several weeks. Reports in the AVA, conversations on porches and over fences. People craning their necks to trace wispy white streaks across the sky…

Valley People (Mar 4, 2015)

WE'VE received a number of letters related to “paranormal activities” in the starry above, as sighted from the Anderson Valley. We don’t know if these sightings are figments of the always fervid imaginations of the tinfoil hat brigade, the con-trail conspiracy theorists or just regular folks, but we have to acknowledge that there have indeed been a lot of unusual things flying around up there, some of which we've spotted ourselves.

We resume Daylight Savings Time on Sunday March 8 when the clocks will go forward. This means that for some Valley folks unaware of this fact, “Boonville Time” will be almost two hours later than regular time until they become aware of the change.
