Fort Bragg, CA. The Career Technical Education (CTE) of Mendocino County Office of Education (MCOE) will offer a Phlebotomy class on the Coast beginning November 4, 2014 through March 26, 2015. The class will be held at the Health Occupations classroom, 300 A Dana Street in Fort Bragg. This 17-week training takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6:00-9:00pm is limited to 15 students. Students will learn to draw specimens from patients, as well as prepare students to take the national phlebotomy exam, as required by the California Department of Health Services. This class is followed by a 40-hour unpaid externship. Prerequisites: high school diploma, GED, or CHSPE certificate and successful completion of the Basic Skills Exam proctored by MCOE.
