Library Strategization

Second Round of Library Community Meetings to Be Held in July

(Ukiah, Mendocino County, California) * The Mendocino County Library wants to hear from you! Two public meetings, designed to provide a forum for public comments on the future direction of the library, will be occurring in July. Mendocino County supported additional funding for the library (Measure A) and now we want to provide an opportunity for everyone to become proactive and involved in the future direction of the library.

“We want to know more about the direction our communities would like to see the libraries take, what they feel is working well, and what could be improved. In addition, we want to know which services or programs the public would like to see in place that are not already being offered,” Interim County Librarian Wally Clark said. “The meetings, along with an online poll, are part of our efforts to give our citizens an opportunity to participate in shaping the strategic vision for the libraries.”

Meetings are scheduled as follows:

Covelo: Round Valley Library Commons * Friday, July 18, 2014, 6 pm

Point Arena: Coast Community Library Meeting Room - Thursday, July 24, 2014, 6 pm

The public meetings are primarily for participants to provide brief (two-minute) comments regarding what they would like to see the libraries offer. Library staff will remain on site after each session to answer questions about current library services and offerings.

For more information about the meetings or the library, please contact Wally at clarkw@co.mendocino.ca.us (707) 463-4492 or your local branch.
