Elk Native Vincent Longo Inducted into Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society at Ithaca College

ITHACA, NY — Vincent Longo, an Elk native and television radio major in the Roy H. Park School of Communications at Ithaca College, was recently inducted into the National Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi. Longo was a standout baseball player and jazz sax player at Mendocino High School before enrolling at Ithaca College. Undergraduate students who have completed at least 24 semester hours or the equivalent and who, in their junior year, rank scholastically in the upper 7.5 percent or who, in their senior year, rank in the upper 10 percent of the class are eligible for membership. Graduate and professional students who have completed 24 semester hours or the equivalent at Ithaca College and rank scholastically in the upper 10 percent of their school are eligible for membership. Located in New York's Finger Lakes region, Ithaca College is home to 6,100 undergraduate and 400 graduate students.
