This story has made me more aware of bikes, lately – it’s summer and there are so many more on the road.
We’ve become more protective of bicycles -it’s taken us years of practice to finally arrive at being able to safely share the road. But, what I want to do is mention what I think is perhaps a dangerous imbalance: drivers in curvy, hilly, narrow, fast moving roads. We’re having to wait, patiently behind a bike making its way up this narrow windy road because, we can’t safely pass him or her. We can’t see what’s up ahead. Meanwhile, a line of cars is building up behind us. This scenario is repeated many times over, daily.
Me thinks we should not be sharing ALL public roads.
